Your puppy's first grooming experience can make all the difference, which is why the Little Lettuce is all about keeping things calm, positive and fun🐾
We take things at your puppy's pace, introducing them to the sights, sounds and sensations of the salon without expecting them to be perfect straight away.
We target sessions to get them used to everything from the noisy dryer and clippers to getting their little feet handled🐾
Every puppy is different, those gorgeous grown-up coats don't all arrive at the same time 🧥
That's why The Little Lettuce Package is designed to grow with your puppy. We start with four short introductory sessions, gradually building from 30 minutes to 1 hour, so your little one can get comfortable with the sights, sounds and sensations of the salon at their own pace.
Once they're ready, we move on to their regular monthly brush, bath and tidy sessions while their adult coat comes through. These keep their coat clean, healthy, manageable and looking adorable, without rushing them into a full adult groom before they're ready.
And when that gorgeous grown- up coat is finally through, they'll be ready for their first full groom- all included as part of the Little Lettuce Package!

FAQs
When should my puppy have their first groom?
The earlier, the better! Once your puppy has settled in to their new home and has had their vaccinations it's a great time to start introducing them to grooming 🫧
How often should my puppy be groomed?
Puppies are little fluff monsters, so regular grooming is important!
We can space their puppy grooms out to suit you but we usually recommend the short sessions weekly or every other week and monthly brush, bath and tidy sessions to keep on top of your pups floof🐾
What if my puppy won't sit still?
Don't worry- they're puppies, not statues!
Wiggling, sniffing, biting and weeing are all completely normal the first few times they visit. We don't expect your puppy to stand perfectly still straight away, or at all!
We work at their pace, using patience, gentle handling, cuddling and plenty of positive reinforcement. The aim is to build their confidence and help them learn that the salon is a safe and happy space.
And if they spend half of their time trying to give us a kiss instead of standing still... we'll consider that all part of the job😘
